Great Adventure Kids Program

Wednesday Evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning September 25, 2019

Location: Sacred Heart Parish, 131 Thames St. N. Ingersoll, Ontario

Do you remember the first way you learned the stories of the Bible?

You probably remember it vividly—certain pictures, certain stories, maybe even the unique smell of the Bible or storybook you had as a kid.

The stories might have been a deeply engrained part of your childhood—they have probably shaped you more deeply than you think!

You remember how as a kid everything seemed larger-than-life, but at the same time so real … those Bible stories, the heroes and villains, and those stories that teach us the most fundamental truths of life.

Your children or grandchildren are experiencing things the same way! That’s why we made our Great Adventure Kids collection.

Designed for the way kids learn, the Great Adventure Kids collection is perfect for parents, teachers, grandparents, and homeschool groups—anyone who wants to give children a lasting, positive impression of the Bible and its stories, to serve as a foundation for the rest of their lives.

Children learn the the story of salvation history through card games, coloring books, easy to read charts, and memory beads.

Why We Believe

Saturday Mornings from 10:25 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.

Location: London Family Catechism at St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Elementary School 170 Hawthorne Rd, London, ON.

Is Catholicism true? Or is it just made up? How can I explain the faith to my family or friends who no longer believe?

In this mind-blowing series, Dr. Brant Pitre takes up the most commonly asked questions about the Catholic faith and provides clear and compelling biblical answers. He begins at the beginning–with the existence of God–and walks you step-by-step through the foundations of the faith.  Along the way, Dr. Pitre explains:

Does God Exist? How can we know it?
Is Jesus God? Did Jesus claim to be God? And why should we believe him?
Peter and the Papacy?  Did Jesus establish the Catholic Church? What is the historical evidence?
How Did We Get the Bible?  From where did the Bible come? Who decided which books got in and which didn’t?
Is the Eucharist Jesus’ Real Presence? What does the Bible teach about Jesus’ Real Presence in the Eucharist?
Why Confess to a Priest? Did Jesus arrange for us to confess our sins to a priest of the new covenant?
Do Catholics Worship Mary? What does the Bible teach about her?
Purgatory and Prayers for the Dead? Where is Purgatory in the Bible? Why do Catholics pray for the dead?

If you’ve ever been asked any of these questions but weren’t quite sure how to answer — or if you know someone who has left the Church and no longer believes, then buckle up: this Bible study is for you. In it, you’ll discover how just reasonable, biblical, and beautiful the Catholic faith really is.
